WORKOUT CLUB AND WELLNESS CENTER FOREVER YOUNG CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
ARTHRITIS - Carefully chosen exercises developed by the Arthritis Foundation to promote flexibility, increase range of motion, improve muscle strength and increase endurance. This water exercise program is done without excess strain on the muscles and joints. No swimming ability is required.
AQUACISE -This class meets in the shallow end of the pool. Starting with gentle stretches, this class includes cardiovascular training, builds endurance, tones the muscles and has and abdominal component.
AQUACOMBO -This class gives you the best of both worlds. We start shallow and end shallow but have a deep water component that will work you to the core.
HIGH TIDE - This class meets in the deep end of the pool with the use of a flotation belt. This class will challenge you to the core. A no-impact workout that is gentle on the joints while increasing muscle tone, increases endurance, works the abs and has a cardio component. Who says you don't sweat in the pool?!
STRETCH FUSION - This class meets in the Therapy Pool. It is a combination of Ai Chi, Body Strengthening & Yoga. This low-impact challenging class combines deep breathing, slow broad movement of the arms, legs and torso to improve range of motion and balance while increasing core strength.
ZUMBA - An exciting and unique dance class using Latin moves and rhythms. Great for all levels of fitness!
CARDIO/STRETCH - This class is designed for anyone who would like a slower paced aerobics class. This class is great for all levels, especially seniors and beginners. 30 minutes cardio followed by 15 minutes of stretch. Stretches are a fusion of Pilates and yoga.
TONE/STRETCH - Improve your bone density, muscle tone, and strength with this weight bearing workout. This class is 45 minutes which includes strengthening using hand weights, body bars and balance balls followed by a full body cooldown/stretch.
