Over the past several weeks, we established a task force that has been working tirelessly on a comprehensive reopening strategy. This plan builds upon The Workout Club’s high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness – and takes them to the highest level.

What cleaning practices with the Club employee to keep staff and members safe?

Cleaning Protocols

In addition to existing continuous cleaning protocols, we will add a deep-cleaning, and disinfecting process multiple times of the day, included in between member workouts and overnight. We will be increasing the size of our Maintenance team to clean during peak hours with a focus on “touch points” as well as asking all team members to support these rigorous cleaning protocols.

Disinfection Procedures

To help with our cleaning efforts, members will be requested to clean up after themselves on the workout floor in addition to our increased cleaning efforts. Disinfectant spray bottles will be provided to members at the time of check-in for use during the workout.

Modified Club Hours

We will be adjusting club operating hours to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting overnight.

Group Fitness Equipment

We will allow 30 minutes between Group fitness classes for disinfecting the studio and all equipment.

No Locker Access Available

We will be restricting access to lockers during the initial re-opening. Please do not bring personal bags on the floor. Please plan to arrive changed and in appropriate gym clothes at the time of your workout.

Hand Sanitizers

Members will be asked to use hand sanitizer when entering the club and frequently throughout their visit. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances and exits as well as throughout the club.

Disinfectant Spray Bottles

Members will be asked to pick up a disinfectant spray bottle and wipe down equipment before and after use in addition to our cleaning protocols. These spray bottles will be available upon checking into the club and are to be returned at the completion of the workout.

Because more than anything, your HEALTH is our #1 Priority.

Health Declaration

Our team will be required to read a mandatory health declaration which is located at the entrances and confirm that they are not experiencing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone that is sick or have come in encountered someone with symptoms of COVID-19.

Temperature Checks

Our team will have body temperatures taken prior to entering the club. Per CDC guidelines, individuals with a body temperature greater than 100.4 degrees will not be permitted entry into the club.

Advanced Booking Required

Members will be asked to book a club visit in advance using their MiCo Account accessible online. Those who schedule a Personal Training session will automatically have a visit booked for them. Members will be able to schedule four 60-minute appointments in any seven-day period. Additional visits may be booked online on a standby basis, subject to club capacity.

Face Coverings

Employees will be provided with face masks and gloves, which will always be required to be worn in the clubs. We request that members wear face coverings upon entering and exiting and in the club and, if possible, during as much of their workout they are comfortable.

Members will be required to wear gloves during their workout. Gloves must fully cover the fingers up to the wrists. If you do not have gloves or do not bring them, they will be available for purchase at the front desk for $1 per pair.

Temporarily On Pause

Access to locker rooms will be restricted to bathroom use only; lockers and private showers will not be in operation. Steam and saunas will not be in service at this time. Child care, swim lessons, kids camps, and birthday parties will be suspended until we have further updates on how to safely offer those according to guidelines.

*Showers on the pool deck are open for rinsing off and cabanas will be accessible for changing but strictly for pool use only.

Scanless Check-In

New scanless check-in will eliminate the need to scan member barcodes at check-in.

New Plexiglass barriers are designed to provide a protective shield between member and the front desk. If you need to speak with someone at the front desk, please stand behind the shield.

Contactless In-Club Transactions

For your convenience and to minimize contact, members will be asked to use their credit card on file in their account for purchases at the front desk. Please see a front desk employee to add your credit card to your account. Members are asked to update their information in their accounts to avoid issues.

Signage and Floor Markers

So, members can give each other enough space, physical distancing cues will be marked at key areas in the club including locker rooms, elevators, front desk, and other areas of the club as needed.

Signs will be placed throughout the clubs to remind members to wipe down equipment before and after use and to practice physical distancing.

You must have scan card to check in to the clubs. If you do not have a scan card please let the front desk know so they can reissue you a card. Front desk staff will not be checking you in manually.

Gloves will be required during your workout. Please pick up a sanitization spray bottle before your workout and return it once you are finished.

Towels/Plastic Bags

Towels and plastic bags to store face coverings will be provided at the Front Desk.

Class Booking

To ensure physical distancing, we will limit the capacity for all Group Fitness classes and MX4 Training Sessions. Advance booking will be required to attend.

Studio Access

We will be holding classes outdoors as weather permits and on a limited basis indoors. All indoor classes will have designated 10-foot personal space zones marked on the floor. Participation will require online enrollment on MiCO. Limited to 3 classes per week. All classes will be 45 minutes allowing 30 minutes for cleaning and disinfection.  We will not be providing bands or mats. We encourage participants to bring their own. They will also be available at the front desk for purchase.

When indoor classes resume, all Group Fitness classes, including Cycling, will be designed to facilitate distance between members. Our team will set up the studio beforehand with equipment. If a member requires other equipment, the instructor or a team member will be available to assist. Only staff will be permitted to get equipment.

No hands-on adjustments will occur during group fitness classes or cycling. Instructors will not be permitted to help those, typical in Yoga or Pilates and no adjustments to the spin bikes will be permitted by members, only instructor or a staff member.

Equipment User

To facilitate physical distancing, we will reduce equipment available for use. Select equipment will be unplugged and clearly marked to facilitate distancing. Time limits may be imposed on equipment during peak hours, if necessary.

Personal Training

Members will be asked to practice physical distancing etiquette during Personal Training sessions. Trainers and instructors will remain six feet away from clients and all cueing and corrections will be done verbally. Virtual Personal Training will continue to be available.

Limited Capacity and Modified Hours

We have temporarily paused making shake products. You may buy a product from the cooler or front desk; however, we ask that you use hand sanitizer prior to getting your product and after use. All transactions must be made by card on file.

The iWave family of products have been proven through independent lab testing to significantly reduce a wide variety of pathogens and viruses similar to coronavirus in the breathing zone and on hard non-porous surfaces.

What is the iWave-C

iWave-C is a self-cleaning, bi-polar ionization generator for actively treating a building’s air quality that does not require replacement parts in a year or two like competing UV lights or other ionizer technologies. In addition, the iWave-C produces and maintains unparalleled ionization output and capabilities. As the air flows past the iWave-C, the device emits positive and negative ions, creating a plamsa region that actively purifies the supply air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. The ionization process also reduces allergens, smoke and static electricity, as well as controlling odors (cooking, pet, VOCs) and other particles (no more sunbeams) in the air without creating ozone or any harmful byproducts.

If you have any additional membership questions, please contact us here as we will not be handling those services in the club during the initial opening phase.
